How to Enable and Use Auto NAT

Enabling Auto NAT

Auto NAT allows you to connect to the SmartTVI DVR remotely without the need for port forwarding. To enable this feature, follow these steps:

  1. Login to the DVR and go to the Main Menu
  2. Navigate to Setup > Network > NAT
  3. Check the box next to NAT Enable
  4. NAT Server should be left at default: www.autonat.com
  5. Save and exit the menu

Connecting with the Auto NAT feature

Mobile Devices

Now you can connect to your DVR by simply scanning the QR code on the DVR with your mobile device:

  1. Login to the DVR and go to the Main Menu
  2. Navigate to Information > QRCODE
  3. Use your mobile device to scan the QR code by selecting the scan icon, as shown in the picture below.

 

Web Interface

  1. Open Internet Explorer
  2. Go to www.autonat.com
  3. Type in the serial number found on the DVR (Main Menu > Information > QRCODE). Example: 0018BE68924A
  4. Type in the username and password of the DVR
  5. Login

PC Software (NVMS-1000)

  1. Open NVMS-1000
  2. From the control panel tab, select Add Device under Device
  3. Select Add Device again, then select Manually add
  4. Select 0.0.0.0 Under IP/Domain/Serial number, then select Serial Number from the drop down menu. Now type in the serial number found on the DVR (Main Menu > Information > QRCODE).
  5. Type in the username and password of the DVR
  6. Select Add
